Phuong Nihn was born in Vietnam, but raised in South Atlanta. He came to Georgia Tech as an Electrical Engineer but quickly changed to Mechanical Engineering. He was also a part of the Georgia Tech Crew Team for a year. Phuong completed three full terms as a co-op at an HVAC Engineering Consulting firm in downtown Atlanta. Midway through his Tech career, he was admitted into the Denning Technology & Management Program through which he has a minor in business. Through the program, he landed an internship with Caterpillar doing Technical Marketing for their Oil & Gas unit in Houston, Texas. When he returned from his internship, he co-founded the Georgia Tech Barbell Club with his roommate which has grown to over a hundred members and has an off-campus training facility. The following summer he interned with SunTrust Robinson Humphrey as an Investment Banking Analyst. Phuong graduated in May 2016 and is currently a Technology Consulting Analyst with Accenture.
