Tradition Keepers

tra·di·tion keep·er [truh-dish-uh n kee-per] noun: a student who truly knows what it means to be a proud Ramblin’ Wreck from Georgia Tech.

The Tradition Keepers program is a collaboration between the Student Alumni Association (SAA) and the Ramblin’ Reck Club that aims to bridge the gap between current and future alumni by linking the community through our shared love for Tech.
What is a Tradition Keeper?
The Tradition Keepers program is a collaboration between the Student Alumni Association (SAA) and the Ramblin’ Reck Club that aims to bridge the gap between current and future alumni by linking the community through our shared love for Tech. Every first year student receives an official T-Book at convocation, and every graduate student receives one at the SGA Graduate Student Picnic. The T-Book not only serves as the official traditions handbook, but also serves as a memento of your time and experiences as a Georgia Tech student. Capture your memories by snapping a picture completing each of the traditions and uploading them onto the Tradition Keeper section of the Student Alumni Association app that can be downloaded from the App Store for iPhone and Android. Traditions can be completed in any order before you graduate. Every student who completes 28 traditions will receive a medal to wear at graduation!
How to submit your traditions?

1.  Download the Georgia Tech Student Alumni Association App.
2.  Click on the “Traditions” tab on the home screen.
3.  Click on the tradition that you would like to complete.
4.  Upload a picture of you completing that tradition, and give a brief explanation of your image, then pick another tradition to complete.

*Don't forget to check the leader board to compete against your peers!

Want more information about traditions? Grab a T-book!
The Traditions Book (T-book) is a book given to all incoming freshmen at Convocation that details each prized tradition at GT. If you do not have a T-book and would like one, please stop by the Alumni Association on 190 North Avenue NW anytime Monday-Friday from 8:00-5:00.

Achievement Levels
The Tradition Keepers program has three achievement levels that each have a gift associated with them. If you complete 10 traditions, you will receive a GT lapel pin. If you complete 20 traditions, you receive a custom Ramblin' Reck photo. If you complete 28 traditions, which includes all core traditions and four elective traditions, you will receive a Georgia Tech medallion that you can wear at graduation.
