The Georgia Tech “Yellow Jacket” Band is recognized as one of the best bands in the country, performs one of the most famous fight songs in the world and currently uses two “wrecks” to transport equipment to more than 90 appearances each year. The vehicles are in dire need of replacement. With hundreds of thousands of miles on them they often break down. Help us keep the band Ramblin’ on.
Gift To Tech
From March 25th to April 5th SAA members cast their votes for the 2012-2013 Gift to Tech! The Student Alumni Association Leadership Team is proud to announce that the Georgia Tech Band will recieve this year's gift of almost $30,000.
The band will be using this funding to aquire new trucks for travel to sporting events and competitions around Atlanta and the ACC. We are thrilled that the Student Alumni Association has the opportunity to support on of Tech's great traditions.
All students, alumni, faculty and staff are invited to the Gift to Tech celebration on April 23, at 11 a.m. to congratulate the band. The Student Alumni Association leadership and matching gift donor, Allen Ecker, will present the Band with the award at the Kessler Campanile. In 2011-2012, the Dean Dull Ramblin' Reck Endowment, recieved over $25,000 to their project!
